Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a family with a strong musical background. The majority of her youth listening to classic music and boleros of the past, ranchero traditional or romantic songs and classic classical music. Ana is a fan of tangos, as well as opera and dramatic performances. Her mother taught her to sing, but she began more intensive training in vocals by Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera singer and tenor. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. The beginning of her professional career included performances with a variety of chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. Following her move from Mexico to America in 2000, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She currently performs traditional Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. Passion and enthusiasm for music, art, and performing has her involved with many local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana was also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able bring to others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to continue the tradition.
