Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a well-known Indian actor, known for her performances in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! Her first fame was the role she played in the 1980s film Tezaab and Tezaab, which she co-starred along with an established actor Anil Koopor. In the following film, she was a part of Aamir in Dil. Her birthplace was in an Mumbai middle-class family, and started dancing when she was a child. At the age of 16, she began acting and struggled for years as the majority of her first films were failures. She eventually became one of the most famous actresses in Indian film. She took a break from acting after her wedding before returning to the world of entertainment. She played a major role as a lead actress in Gulaab Gang, a film about women's struggles in India. Dixit was awarded 8 Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen nominations she received. Dixit was also awarded the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian award in India. Also, she is well known for her charitable works.
